Health Task Group web page. This site will provide you with local,
regional and national sexual health information and details of the work
of the Task Group and its members.
The Regional Sexual Health Task Group (RSHTG)
is an assemblage of senior professional from across the North West who
meet biennially as a group and more regularly as sub groups to share
good practice, debate key sexual health issues and develop regional
actions to support sexual health work throughout the North West.
Current membership of the RSHTG comprises
representatives from various organisations including the Strategic
Health Authority, Sexual Health Network Leads, Primary Care Trusts,
General Practice, genitor-urinary medicine, the Health Protection
Agency, North West Specialised Commissioning Group, Acute Trusts,
hospitals and the sexual health team at the Centre for Public Health at
Liverpool John Moores University. The RSHTG is chaired by Dr Paula Grey,
Director of Public Health for Liverpool PCT.
The aims of the RSHTG are to act as an
expert group and extra support mechanism for the wider sexual health
agenda and to co-ordinate the sexual health activities of the three
sub-regional sexual health networks by:
·
Sharing developments and
good practice in each of the networks across the North West
·
Developing North West
consensus for standards and quality monitoring
·
Provide validity and
credibility for local innovation
·
Promote consistent good
practice across all providers
