Showcase for Good Practice

This showcase for good practice has been developed in response to Network members’ comments about the difficulty of sharing, and finding out about good practice which is being developed across Cumbria and Lancashire. It is an opportunity for PH professionals to share information about pieces of work-big or small - which may be of interest or useful to colleagues.

The inclusion of projects and pieces of work highlighted here is not intended to suggest a formal contribution to the public health evidence base, as defined by NICE. The new National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), formed on the 1st April 2005, has taken on the functions of the Health Development Agency to create a single excellence-in-practice organisation responsible for providing national guidance on the promotion of good health and the prevention and treatment of ill health.
