Welcome to the Alcohol Information North West Website

This site has been developed primarily to support regional and local activity towards reducing alcohol harm in the North West. The information contained in these pages should help facilitate understanding and sharing - amongst practitioners and commissioners - of the challenges, possible solutions and good practice that exist within the region. It is hoped that this enhanced and collective insight will contribute towards addressing some of the health and wider social issues in the North West that are adversely affected by alcohol.

The Government Office for the North West (GONW) and the Regional Public Health Group are working together to ensure that this site contains up-to-the-minute policy information, research, performance data, services, and access to local strategies and initiatives. The content of the site however relies on your contributions and continued support.

Up to date news items are reported through weekly media monitoring.

The site is also for anyone with a general interest in alcohol issues, the wider community.
