The Greater Manchester Public Health Network is an alliance of key stakeholders who work collaboratively to improve the health of people living and working in Greater Manchester and reduce health inequalities.

Greater Manchester is a vibrant and dynamic conurbation, but the population of Greater Manchester suffers from some of the worst health in England. The network is tasked to identify and take action on public health priorities. A Director of Public Health has been identified to lead on each of the priority areas.

The Public Health Network is funded by the 10 primary care trusts in Greater Manchester and is accountable to the Association of Greater Manchester Primary Care Trusts and the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities, as well as to the Greater Manchester Directors of Public Health Group.

This website describes:

- the core functions available to all projects through the Greater Manchester Public Health Network
- the projects associated with specific health priorities
- the partnerships with other organisations
- and the work of the Greater Manchester Directors of Public Health Group.

It also provides an events calendar, publications, useful websites and a discussion forum

The vision of the GM public health network is to develop an efficient system of working with partners to improve the health of the people of Greater Manchester and to reduce existing health inequalities.
