About us

The Greater Manchester Public Health Network is an alliance of key stakeholders who work collaborating to improve the health of people living and working in Greater Manchester and reduce health inequalities.

Greater Manchester is a vibrant and dynamic conurbation, but the population of Greater Manchester suffers from some of the worst health in England. The network is tasked to identify and take action on public health priorities. A Director of Public Health has been identified to lead on each of the priority areas.

The Public Health Network is funded by the 10 primary care trusts in Greater Manchester and is accountable to the Association of Greater Manchester Primary Care Trusts and the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities, as well as to the Greater Manchester Directors of Public Health Group.
